In addition to our updated look and feel, The M Collective is starting 2023 with five new clients including The World’s 50 Best Hotels, the first global launch for the 50 best brand since 2009. Best-known for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, which has been credited with putting NOMA on the foodie map, the announcement of new awards has already been greeted with anticipation and excitement from the hotel industry.
The awards ceremony and list announcement, which is set for this summer, is completely independent and curated by The World’s 50 Best Hotels Academy, an influential group of 580 anonymous leaders in the hotel industry, each selected for their expert opinion and background in the hotel scene.
Tim Brooke-Webb, Managing Director of 50 Best, says: “Over the past 20 years we have become the international leader in providing the most reliable lists of expert-curated restaurants and bars on the planet. The World’s 50 Best Hotels seemed like a natural fit to complete the circle, uniting restaurants, bars and hotels. Our aim with these awards is to define, lead and amplify the conversation on the future of hospitality. We want to create a unifying platform for the world’s best hotels and the amazing individuals behind them but also for travel-loving consumers, helping them to choose the very best places to stay.”
This month we welcomed El Fuerte Marbella as a client of The M Collective. Having undergone a complete renovation, El Fuerte Marbella, the flagship of Fuerte Group Hotels, will reopen this spring. The transformation of this iconic 251 beachfront hotel, which has been overseen by the renowned interior designer, Jaime Beriestain Studio, has been inspired by the light, location and new face of the Costa del Sol.
El Fuerte Marbella has a privileged central spot, close to the charming Old Town with spectacular sea views and easy access to the beach. The reborn hotel will include an expansive spa and new restaurant concept that celebrates local cuisine and the seafaring culture of Marbella.
At the end of 2022, we were fortunate to start working with Secret Atlas, who have pioneered micro-cruises of up to 12 guests on some of the smallest ships in the polar regions. This specialist approach ensures off-grid experiences with up-close wildlife encounters, whilst having a minimal environmental footprint thanks to the size and eco-consciously designed vessels. Founded in 2019, by two passionate explorers, Secret Atlas was created to take curious and conscious travellers on the most immersive voyages to the polar regions in an intimate way, with the lowest impact.
We are also working on the positioning and launch of two inspiring new hospitality brands, one in London (to launch spring 2023) and one in Greece (to launch Autumn 2023) both creating companies that put people, places and planet at the centre of their business models. We are thrilled help these companies, for whom triple bottom line is the benchmark of success, from inception.
More to come…
